The SC Works Trident Centers provide you with employment support from job searching and application assistance to on-the-job training and education.

Job Openings
The SC Works Trident System partners, such as the
South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce (DEW), will assist you in finding current job openings in the area and outside the local area if you are willing to relocate.

SC Works Online - Conduct searches for and apply for job openings, post your resume for employers to see, find out about training opportunities, and see what the local labor market has available!

Application Assistance
Your application is your first impression to prospective employers. Staff is on hand to help with your resume, cover letter and other materials that will give you an edge over the competition.

Education and Workforce Training
If you are contemplating a career change, or need additional training, the SC Works Trident System offers employment and training services. The Federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Program provides employment and training services aimed to help increase employment, retention, earnings and occupational skills of job seekers needing assistance in their career transition.

Adult Education
With access to government resources, such as
Berkeley County Adult Education, Charleston County Adult Education,  and Dorchester County Adult Education, you can easily continue your education, whether you want to prepare for the GED or take adult education and literacy classes.

Resource Center
The SC Works Trident Centers offer free access to our resource centers, where customers can search for jobs, build or adjust a resume, find information on community resources and programs, research labor market statistics, practice for the typing test and file an unemployment insurance claim.

Employability Workshops
The SC Works Trident Centers offer free workshops focused on gaining employment. topics such as Barriers to Employment, SC Works Online and Your Job Search, Resume Writing, Essential Interviewing Skills and Workplace Etiquette are available. Schedules varies per location,

WorkKeys Testing
WorkKeys is a job skills assessment system measuring real world skills and abilities that are critical to job success. WorkKeys assessments measure proficiency in three key areas:

  • Communication: Business Writing, Listening, Reading for Information, Writing
  • Problem Solving: Applied Mathematics, Applied Technology, Locating Information, Observation
  • Interpersonal Skills: Teamwork
